South African producer/dj Michael Cresswell aka ScattafiX has had a major upbringing around the influence of music with a family of musicians.

 

Back in 2006 he started mixing on turntables and played the likes of Tiesto,Paul Van Dyk,Cosmic Gate,Paul Oakenfold and many more.  At just the age of 16 music was changing and influences changed as well, moving into electro house, he played in and around Durban at local parties and private birthday events, but because of his age playing in a nighclub was still just a dream.  

That all changed when he moved to Cape Town and started producing music around the end of 2010. He is self taught and has worked with dubstep which was his first genre he started producing.  Being in Cape Town and realising the scene was filled with techno artists and some of the biggest events holding techno music, he was heavily influenced and quickly found a liking for this genre, artists such as Roy RosenfelD, Fernando Tessis, JayLumen,Max Bett,Popof,Pleasurekraft,Format B,Konstantin Yoodza,Ron Costa,Elay Lazutkin and Mladen Tomic are some you will hear in his sets, filled with the juiciest most cheekiest styles of techno to keep you on your feet.

 

ScattafiX has a lot more to offer in the future and keeps progressing in what he thinks is his input to the techno community as it is a genre that is permanently changing.
